A single point dresser holds one selected Congo round diamond in a metal matrix on a steel shank. It is the everyday tool for truing and dressing conventional grinding wheels on surface, cylindrical and tool-and-cutter grinders. Choose the carat size to suit the wheel size and the finish you need, and the grade (A, B or C) to suit the budget.

Which carat size do I need?

Larger and wider wheels need a bigger diamond. As a rough guide, small bench and surface grinder wheels use 0.25–0.75 ct, and large cylindrical or centreless wheels use 1 ct and above. Tell us your wheel size and we will suggest one.

What is the difference between Grade A, B and C?

All three use natural diamonds; the grade reflects the diamond quality selected. Grade A costs the most and lasts longest, Grade C is the economy option.
